Run Nation is proud to announce that the Bamburgh 10k scheduled for Sunday 16th June, will be a World Athletics Label Road Race.
This is the only WA Label road race in the North East of England and one of only a handful of UK races listed on the WA calendar so far this year.
This is a major investment by Run Nation and we will work with Northumberland County Council and other partners to make this event a great success. Our record of delivering events in Northumberland is second to none.
“With over a decade of working to promote road racing in the North East, bringing a World Athletics label event to the region is a major achievement for us.” states the organiser, Richard Hunter.
In the coming weeks we will announce our international line up for the event.
The elite field will be made up of men with sub 30:30 10k PB's and Women with sub 34:30 PB's - International and elite enquiries to elite@runnation.co.uk

FROM WA WEBSITE/ROAD RACE GUIDELINES
The “World Athletics Label Road Races” programme gathers the world’s leading road races (‘Races’). A World Athletics Label denotes a full application of the Competition and Technical Rules in, at a minimum, the elite component of the competition. Labels also denote superior standards in event organisation, safety and runner experience, support from public authorities to the event and a financial commitment to anti-doping.
