Thank you to all the runners who attended the Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k 2019 on the 2nd June, thank you to all the marshals and staff who help to make the event run as smoothly as possible.
Over 650 runners started the 10k at the Links Car Park before turning right towards Bamburgh Castle, through Bamburgh Village and then towards Springhill Farm. The final stretch running parallel with the coast back up to the Car Park for the finish.
The fastest male runner was David Green (North Shields Polytechnic Club) who finished the event in 33:11 beating second place Daniel Alexander’s (Gateshead Harriers & AC) 34:49. The third male finisher was Benedict Moore (Gosforth Harriers & AC) who completed the 10k in 36:06.
The fastest female finisher Helen King (Morpeth Harriers & AC) finished the course in 39:49, just five seconds ahead of the second fastest female Alison Dargie (Tyne Bridge Harriers) with a time of 39:54. The third fastest female was Katie Mellor (Gosforth Harriers & AC) who finished in 40:31.
