Run Yorkshire Rother Valley saw 227 runners take part in the 5k and the 10k with unsettling winds. The prize for first place male in the 5k went to Benjamin Mahoney (Sheffield RC) with a time of 17:32. Second place Phil Whitehead (Doncaster Athletic) completed the course in 18:39 and in third place Tristan Wright (Wakefield District H & AC) completed the top three with a time of 19:13.
Emma Norton (Steel City Striders RC) finished as the fastest female in 23:11. Imogen Lawson’s time of 23:37 meant she was the second fastest female with Alex Harrison finishing as the third female with 23:48.
The winner of male 10k- Thomas King from Steel City Striders FC completed the course in 36:34. The second place went to Richard Collings (unattached) who crossed the finish line with a time of 36:55. Jonathan Frary (Doncaster Athletic Club) was a third fastest male achieving the time of 37:01 that day.
Sophie Cowper finished the 10k race as the fastest female with a time of 37:18. Michelle Thompson from North Shields Polytechnic Club came second with a time of 41:32. The third lady that day- Emma Niven (unattached) finished the race in 42:10.
